EPC is a stage in the process of designing/designing the system to be built, procuring/purchasing goods, and proceeding with building/constructing what has been designed. Companies that work on EPC projects are called EPC Companies and the services provided are called plant services.

Onsite Investigations/Measurement

The measurement system must also be valid to ensure that the data collected is valid. We need to do a Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to find out how well the measurement system is used. With this MSA, it is hoped that the measurement activities carried out will reflect the actual level of quality.

Plan/Design Permit Application

Starting from the plan layout (Layout Plan/Plot Plan), process flow diagrams, to the material specifications. This FEED document is used as material for submitting tender/bidding offers.

Subsidy Application

At the detail engineering stage, various kinds of job descriptions are carried out.

Material Procurement

At this stage, with the capital of Engineering documents (Drawings, MTO, & Specifications) the Procurement section will look for several suitable Vendors or Suppliers. Likewise, with service work, several Sub-Contractors will be sought who can carry out the work.

Installation/Construction

Field implementation. One important note, EPC Contractors – even though the name is Contractor – but will not have workers up to the builder level. They will always give Sub Con a job. It is this Sub Con that employs the masons.

Commissioning

Commissioning is a stage of the project that is tested first before being handed over to the Owner. Tests can take months due to large-scale projects, so every aspect has to be observed in detail.

Maintenance

To achieve the success of an EPC project it is very important to know the processes that occur in it. Understanding the complexity of the project process will help resolve the complex issues.
