The history of industrial automation started with simple conveyor belts pulling parts through an assembly line. Machines performed basic tasks and work that reduced manual labor. Today, industrial automation is a wide range of machines, actuators, sensors, processors, and networks that work to connect an industrial environment. From PLCs, AI, Machine Learning, and IIoT devices, modern industrial automation is focusing on the best way to leverage technology. The following will introduce industrial automation, its types, and its benefits: leading global industries, expanding markets, and evolving competition.
 

Automation Warehouse System

Warehouse automation is the process of automating the movement of inventory into, within, and out of warehouses to customers with minimal human assistance. As part of an automation project, a business can eliminate labor-intensive duties that involve repetitive physical work and manual data entry and analysis.
For example, a warehouse worker may load an autonomous mobile robot with heavy packages. The robot moves the inventory from one end of the warehouse to the shipping zone and software records the movement of that inventory, keeping all records current. These robots improve the efficiency, speed, reliability and accuracy of this task. But warehouse automation does not require physical or robotic automation, and in many cases simply refers to the use of software to replace manual tasks. However, this scenario illustrates how robots and humans work together to accomplish repetitive tasks while minimizing fatigue and injury.

Generating Equipment and Chemical Engineering & Plant.

This focuses on a complete chemical process design, which establishes the sequence of chemical and physical operations; operating conditions; the duties, major specifications, and materials of construction of all process equipment; the general arrangement of equipment required to ensure the proper functioning of the plant; line sizes; and principal instrumentation. The process design is summarized by a process flowsheet, a material and energy balance, and a set of individual equipment specifications. Two main categories of process equipment are proprietary and custom-designed. Proprietary equipment is designed by the manufacturer to meet performance specifications made by the user. This category includes equipment with moving parts such as pumps, compressors, and drivers as well as cooling towers, dryers, filters, mixers, agitators, piping equipment, and valves, and even the structural aspects of heat exchangers, furnaces, and other equipment. Custom design is needed for many aspects of chemical reactors, most vessels, multistage separators such as fractionators, and other special equipment not amenable to complete standardization. Although the design of a chemical process plant is initiated by chemical engineers, its complete design and construction requires the inputs of other specialists: mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers; vessel and piping designers; and purchasing agents who know what may be available at attractive prices. On large projects all these activities are correlated by a project manager.
